Buckles Magazine

Project made during the summer Klauzura 2023 of the GDVK studio, at UMPRUM.
On the topic of the “the death of originality”, I chose to make a magazine that had no end and no start, each article page can act as a cover, so the magazine forms a loop, with an unconventional table of content (the next or previous articles are shown above or below the current one to see what is forward).
I was fascinated by how culture always manages to reinvent itself in new ways, despite the impression that everything has already been done.
a pixelated, early internet aesthetic is matched with gothic letters, referencing the first typefaces that date back to the beginning of the letterpress.
